Autumn Waveney Triathlon

So after last weeks North Norfolk Triathlon it was nice to have come to this one feeling in good shape.  Was up at the ungodly hour of 5 so I could get to registration early as didn't want to be one of the last ones off and also needed to be back fairly promptly as Amy and Sophie had a party to go to. Registration as always is quick and slick.  Managed to get into the third wave and was lucky number 13? Transition setup was all done with none of last weeks panic and the race brief was the usual light hearted and friendly outlining of the rules.  This really is a great event for the first timers.  The course is a good one which is just about perfect to challenge without being too difficult. Always foggy when the event comes around but this soon burned off.  Into the pool for the my wave and my swim was consistent as previous years and about 3 of my wave left the pool within a minute of each other.  T1 was a bit of a fail a...

North Norfolk Triathlon

Absolutely loved this event.  Great location, decent course followed by a tough run. I managed to get a place on this one thanks to some cancellations and i'll be definitely up to do this one again next year. So after a poor nights sleep thanks to Sophie who decided to wake at 3am and stay awake until 6 when I had to get up she then fell asleep.  After a breakfast of porridge and blueberries and raspberries it was into the car and off to Wells.  I arrived there at 7am where parking for the race was set up at Wells Town FC, right next to the harbour. Registration was quick and efficient, the staff were really friendly and your registrations bag contains your race numbers, t shirt a few energy gels and a banana. The hide tide was approaching so it was time to get the bike ready in transition.  I had my usual panic fearing I had forgotten something but this wasn't the case.  The race brief was held in transition and contained the usual info, ...
