Everything turns upside down

You may have noticed it has been an age since my last post.  It's been a really busy 6 months for us.  In this time i've only competed in one race and a park run.  I will add a post about these when I have the chance.  So what have I been up to this year? Well at the end of November my wife Mel found a lump in her left breast.  After a few trips to the GP and further scans at hospital it was confirmed that she had breast cancer and it had spread into her lymph nodes under her arm.  Before the scans had confirmed this we kind of knew what to expect but even so we were both stunned and shocked.  Initially we didn't know whether this had spread further around her body or not and she had to have further scans to reveal the extent of the cancer.  These scans included one where she had a radioactive isotope added via an injection so what ever they were looking for showed up on scans.
