Post Hunny Bell Fun
I really enjoyed the hunny bell XC run and felt really good before during and after. The following morning on the way into work with Neil he drove into the back of the car in front on the harford roundabout.
I felt fine but over the last couple of days my left butt cheek and left hand side of my lower back have been uncomfortable. This hasn't stopped me running but my back has been tight when it never was before. Hot bath doesn't seem to have touched it much either. Going to have to work on my core a little more to help strengthen everything up ahead of the marathon and ironman.
My Train as one training plan is starting to up the mileage as well which is good and doesn't seem so onerous as before. My plan for my weekend runs was Saturday morning and Sunday morning but weather and prior engagements postponed Saturday's run until the evening. Then Sunday's run was first thing. Very little recovery time between them meant my legs felt really heavy but on the plus side increasing pace was good and the legs responded well so feeling confident.
On the downside though I picked up my first running blister in ages on Sunday's long run.
