Running Photo Tests

I never took any pics last time I ran the marathon and have decided to document in more detail this time round.  This weekend I ran 6ish mile Friday night, 9 Saturday morning and another 9 Sunday morning.  All part of my TrainasOne plan.

I've been looking into getting some sort of camera to snap pics during the runs and my first port of call was my trusty old iPhone.  Sunday was a glorious day and the decision to take the phone with me was a little bit of a spur of the moment.

Two other reasons for bringing the phone were to see how annoying (or not) carrying the phone is and also to see if it hindered taking on energy gels during the run.

The first test was a running picture and the second picture I stopped for comparison.

The results I was quite impressed with considering this is only an iPhone.  Here are a couple more from later in the run.

Again the results are pleasing considering I don't want to have to stop on the day to take pics.  Carrying the phone wasn't an issue at all and taking on the energy gel whilst carrying  the phone didn't cause any issues either.  So not bad at all for a first attempt.

I managed to pick up a sickness bug on Tuesday so all the runs this week have felt really hard but Sunday's run felt much more normal.  Even the run up Dillington hill in the last few miles wasn't too bad.

The reward at the top is the picturesque "Gingerbread Cottage", which was looking particularly nice.
