On the Bike & Harvey

This week the cycle training has really kicked up a gear.  Less and less turbo session and more outdoors including cycling to work more regularly.  I've left the Tri-bars setup on the bike to get used to cycling for long periods in the aero position and even after just a couple of times I'm feeling so much more comfortable in the position and have held it on the journey home for long periods.

A poor attempt at a selfie on the way home.  Glorious day to ride though.

The ankle since the spring waveney tri has been good.  I've deliberately reduced my running to give whatever niggle the chance to recover.  As such I've had no pain and no swelling in it.  The first real test will be this weekend on the "Chase the Train" race.  A nice little 9 mile race from Aylsham to Wroxham along the Bure Valley railway footpath.  It's a beautiful little run and the train ride back is always fun.  Plus its a good day out for the family.  Girls really enjoy the train ride and looking out for the runners.  I'm hoping to beat the train this year.

Finally a foot update.  Feet are all good now although I have a lovely looking two-tone big toenail.  Literally the toenail is half normal half black and I've christened it "Harvey Toe Face" enemy of Bat-Toe.

I hope all went well for the Chase The Train today - weather look like it was not too hot and dry.
